Keno is a game of luck so there is very little that s
strategy can do to increase your chances of winning. Since the numbers are
selected randomly there is no relationship between the numbers that have
come out and those that will later. Although it may sound strange, if you
choose five numbers on a board, these are no more likely to show as, say 9,
21, 35, 38 and 57, or even 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. In conclusion, all numbers
have the same chance of coming out in the next round.
So, Keno is different from other games like Blackjack and Poker, in which
the actions of the participants have a little influence on the outcome of
the game. There are a few techniques, however, that some players believe
work. Although you can’t truly call them "strategic decisions", the
following tips and techniques are used very often, and can make the game
more interesting:
Try to play with numbers you have not seen come out in the latest games. The
theory is that they may eventually start to appear, since results for all
numbers are equal. Again, the chance based nature of this game makes this
strategy seem likely.
Instead of betting on the numbers that have not appeared yet, many players
of Keno bet on the numbers that have already come. As much as it may go
against the possibilities or probabilities, there are always interesting
trends and patterns when dealing with numbers that come up randomly.
Choose successive numbers. Selecting pairs like 12 and 13 or 43 and 44 is
considered playing successive numbers. Although there is no evidence that
this strategy works over the long term, it sometimes seems that many of the
numbers that come up are consecutive. This is a big belief among Keno
players.
Use the same numbers consecutively. This strategy is very simple and the
most common: play with the same selection of numbers every few rounds.
